1.  Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, submitting an enquiry, or confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and users of the Ceylon Paradiso website and services, including tour packages, customised itineraries, hotel bookings, transport arrangements, and any other travel services we offer.

2.  Eligibility & Age Restrictions

Our services are available to individuals aged 18 or older. By booking or making an enquiry, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, or that you are acting with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Certain tour activities, such as adventure sports, hiking and wildlife safaris, may have additional age, health or fitness requirements. These will be communicated at the time of booking. Ceylon Paradiso reserves the right to decline service where eligibility criteria are not met.

3.  Services Offered

Ceylon Paradiso provides the following travel and tourism services within Sri Lanka:

• Customised and pre-packaged tour itineraries
• Hotel, resort and villa accommodation bookings
• Airport and in-destination transport arrangements
• Adventure activities, cultural experiences and wildlife safaris
• Guided tours with licensed and experienced local guides
• Honeymoon, group, family and corporate travel packages

All services are subject to availability and may be modified, suspended or discontinued at our discretion, with reasonable notice where possible.

4.  Bookings & Confirmations

A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation email from Ceylon Paradiso and payment of the required deposit. Verbal agreements or website enquiries do not constitute a confirmed booking.

You are responsible for ensuring that all booking details, including passenger names, travel dates, accommodation preferences, and dietary or accessibility requirements, are accurate at the time of booking. Ceylon Paradiso accepts no liability for errors arising from inaccurate information provided by the Client.

5.  Pricing & Payments

All prices quoted on our website or in written proposals are in US Dollars (USD) unless stated and are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed. Once confirmed in writing, the quoted price is binding for the specified itinerary.

Payments may be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other methods as advised at the time of booking. Full payment is required no later than 30 days before the commencement of your tour, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Ceylon Paradiso reserves the right to apply surcharges for fuel price increases, government-imposed taxes or extraordinary cost increases beyond our control. We will notify you of any such surcharges as early as possible.

6.  Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to us. The following cancellation charges apply from the date the written notice is received:

• More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit only
• 30–60 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
• 15–29 days before departure: 75% of the total tour cost
• Fewer than 14 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost (no refund)

Cancellation by Ceylon Paradiso

In exceptional circumstances, including natural disasters, civil unrest, government travel advisories or force majeure events, Ceylon Paradiso reserves the right to cancel a confirmed booking. In such cases, we will offer a full refund of all monies paid or the option to reschedule at no additional cost. We are not liable for any consequential losses, such as airfares or visa fees.

No-Show Policy

No refund will be provided for no-shows or voluntary early departure from a tour once it has commenced.

7.  Travel Insurance

Ceylon Paradiso strongly recommends that all Clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. Insurance should cover, at minimum, medical emergencies, trip cancellation, personal liability, and loss or theft of baggage. We do not provide travel insurance and accept no liability for losses that would be covered by adequate insurance.

8.  Health, Safety & Client Obligations

You are responsible for ensuring that you are medically and physically fit to participate in your chosen tour activities. Clients with pre-existing medical conditions or disabilities must disclose these at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse participation in any activity where we reasonably believe it poses a risk to the Client or others.

All Clients are expected to comply with the instructions of our guides, drivers, and staff at all times; respect local laws, customs, religious sites, and wildlife; behave responsibly and in a manner that does not endanger others; and obtain all necessary visas, travel documents, and vaccinations required for entry into Sri Lanka.

Ceylon Paradiso accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury or delay arising from a client’s failure to comply with these obligations.

9.  Liability & Disclaimer

While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and quality of our services, Ceylon Paradiso acts as an agent for hotels, transport providers, activity operators, and other third-party service providers. We are not liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, delay or expense arising from the acts, omissions or negligence of any third-party provider.

To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, our total liability to any client for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by that client for the relevant tour or service.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence.

10.  Intellectual Property

All content on the Ceylon Paradiso website, including text, photographs, videos, logos, itineraries, and tour descriptions, is the intellectual property of Ceylon Paradiso and is protected by applicable copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

11.  Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall first be referred to mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

12.  Amendments

Ceylon Paradiso reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
